My Thanksgiving Blessing of Gratitude

Today, I am grateful for all of my friends in Flesh and ether. I am grateful to the ancesters who came before and paved the way for all of us to be here today. I am grateful to my family of origin and my family of choice for loving me even though I am flawed. I am grateful to all of the beings, flora, fauna and fungus who have given their lives for today's feast. I am grateful for the Mother Earth who sustains us and for Father Sky who fills our lungs with his breath. Blessed Be. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Homemade Pet Powder

Don't enjoy that 'wet dog' smell? Try this non-toxic powder.

1 Cup Corn Starch

5 drops Lavender

5 drops Geranium

4 drops Eucalyptus

Mix well, and keep in a small Pringles can (or other can/glass with lid) with several holes in the top. Sprinkle a small amount on your dog or pet and brush through the coat. Will not only smell great, but repels ticks and other pests.

Use after bathing, trimming or when needed. Keep airtight between uses.

PRODUCT REVIEW-Vanilla Trim Shake

I must admit that the thought of trying YET ANOTHER protein or meal replacement shake had me skeptical. Usually I go for the chocolate ones, but we decided to try the Vanilla Trim Shake. I was also hesitant due to the price-at first.

Imagine my surprise and delight at the rich, buttery flavor when I mixed it with milk. The first time, I had it with raw, whole milk, and I thought maybe the buttery decadence was only from the milk. The next day, I used organic 2% milk. The deliciousness was still just as delicious.

There is enough sweet to satisfy a craving, but not so much that you feel like you have just sucked down a super sweet sugary fast food shake. Trim Shake also delighted me with the ease of mixing. I mixed it easily in a shaker thingy with no lumps left over.

A scoop is 125 calories, my whole raw milk is 150 calories (less for low fat milk or water). So, I can have a 275 calorie meal that keeps me very satisfied for 2-4 hours. If I take a drop of Slim and Sassy Essential Oil Blend at the first hunger note, the shake lasts easily on the longer side without a feeling of depravation.
